Miranda Merklein

Miranda Merklein was born in Asheville, North Carolina and grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is currently a PhD candidate in creative writing at the University of Southern Mississippi where she teaches World Literature and English Composition. She also publishes and edits Journal of Truth and Consequence, a magazine for the arts. She holds a MA in liberal arts from St. John's College and a BA in political science from College of Santa Fe. Merklein's work has appeared or is forthcoming in: Oxford American, Natural Bridge, Iron Horse Literary Review, South Carolina Review, VOX, Pindeldyboz, Permafrost, Big Muddy, Epicenter, Southern Poetry Anthology II, Neon (UK), Concho River Review, RiverSedge, Grasslimb, Crucible, Oregon East Magazine, Kokako (NZ), Meridian Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, Earthships Anthology, Touchstone, Vision Magazine, offcourse, The Binnacle, and others.
